Singapore-based budget carrier Scoot is looking to add Berlin to its long-haul network with plans to launch a four-times-weekly non-stop service between the two cities in the second half of 2018.
The new route will be the low-cost airline’s third long-haul destination, joining Athens, which it launched earlier this year, and Honolulu in December. A Boeing 787 Dreamliner will operate the new Scoot service – Scoot is getting four Dreamliners configured for long-haul travel with crew bunks this year.

China Airlines now flies non-stop to London
China Airlines’ non-stop flights between Taipei and London Gatwick have taken off, making the carrier the only Taiwanese airline to operate direct flights between the two cities.

Malaysia Airlines' first A350 has arrived in Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia Airlines has become the first airline to offer a first-class cabin on Airbus’s A350-900 wide body aircraft.
The Malaysian flag carrier took delivery of its first of six A350s today from lease company Air Lease Corporation, ahead of the aircraft’s deployment on its Kuala Lumpur-London Heathrow route on January 15 next year.

Air Canada is now flying to Melbourne
Air Canada has given Melbourne its first non-stop service to Vancouver International Airport (YVR) following the launch late last week of its seasonal service between the two cities. The new service will be flying four times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays until February 4 next year.
